Meet Liz Varvaro, the new shopkeeper at our local corner store!
Since moving to SJI in 2008, she has been working at the San Juan Island School District managing programs and teaching high school students. You may recognize her from the Community Dinners she hosted as Food Service Director of the Food for Thought program from 2008-2020, or as the high school Culinary Teacher from 2016-2023. She is currently teaching a Career Preparation class at FHHS as well as managing programs as the Director of Career & Technical Education for SJISD. She lives close by with her husband, local electrician Lyle Kempton, and her lovable pup, Benjen. Come by the store and say hello!
